CAN-AM X3 DARTON MID SLEEVE HIGH PERFORMANCE CRANKCASE
The Can-Am/Rotax 900 ACE engine platform is now in play for the Darton MID sleeving process. Choose from 74, 75 or 76mm bore sizes, includes copper O-Rings to contain combustion and drilled and tapped for ARP 7/16 coarse thread head studs for ultimate clamping. Best of all, we do our best to keep these sleeved cases on the shelf for immediate delivery. Darton pioneered modular sleeve designs and specialty ductile iron material beginning with top fuel sleeves for Keith Black Racing Engines and Milodon Engineering in 1978. This experience, our racing heritage, and our highly experienced staff of machinists and racing engine builders offered a unique set of blended talent to solve inherent block weakness design in the currently available engines where bore sizes were intended to be increased. CAN-AM X3 CYLINDER SUPPORT SYSTEM (CSS) HIGH PERFORMANCE CRANKCASE
CSS has developed a proven technique for strengthening OEM aluminum open deck blocks. Proven in 1200+whp Honda 4-cylinder engines, the CSS support system is perfect for the open deck Can-Am X3’s. The BC/CSS case features a +1mm oversize bore (75mm) for added displacement, copper O-Rings to contain combustion and drilled & tapped head bolt holes to accommodate BC custom ARP head studs (included). These studs feature 7/16” diameter, coarse thread (1.75) into the case and the stock 9mm fine thread into the head. The most common issue with X3 cases at bigger power levels is pulling the threads out of the case half. Made from ARP2000 material, the 7/16” diameter, coarse thread is overkill on clamp load, offering proper sealing of the cylinder head, Cometic MLX head gasket (included) and O-Ringed case for big boost! |

CAN-AM X3 HEAD GASKETS
Cometic gaskets combine advanced materials with state-of-the-art manufacturing processes to provide custom-tailored solutions to meet the needs of each individual application. The MLX head gasket is comprised of a three layer setup - Viton coated embossed spring steel outer layers surround a steel inner layer that provides support and thickness to the gasket. Embossments on the gasket allow for a proper seal around oil and water passages. |
